"Working" at Ropes
This was painted for the Cahoon Museum's Great Brush Off. It is at Ropes beach in Cotuit where a youth sailing school and a rowing club share space with the rest of the harbor. I was struck with the delightful activity of dozens of kids learning to sail these small prams, bumping into each other, laughing, a sea of small sails headed in every direction. I added the rowing club launching and set the tone for dramatic.
